What is diversion?Diversion is when products meant for exclusive distribution at a hair salon end up on the shelves of an unintended retail store or other unathorized location. In terms of the beauty industry, diversion occurs when professional salon products like Matrix, Paul Mitchell, Big Sexy or American Crew are sold at non-salon locations.
Go to the Beauty Industry Fund for more information. Diversion Update:Unfortunately some Keratin Complex retail products have been located on retail shelves (CVS) in our territory. These product were traced back to two distributors that were cut-off by Keratin Complex. Keratin Complex has developed a strict anti-diversion contract for both salons and distributors to sign and adhere to or risk being cut-off for not respecting the professional nature of the line.
We ask for your help by reporting diversion to us, (see email address below) and continuing to make the line available to your customers so they do not seek or buy the line elsewhere. Keratin Complex will continue to implement security measures like package changes and coding to stop diversion of their brand. They also do not allow or authorize the sale of their products online and will make every effort possible to control the flow of products through those channels. Thanks for your support. Salon FadSalon FAD has now provided the way for stylists and salon owners to do something about Diversion. http://www.salonfad.org/
