RWA Hair Color Trade-Out Guidelines

Trade-outs are reserved for qualified salons on case-by-case basis and require a prior written agreement between RWA and the salon prior to executing the swap. The Swap-out option is not a program in and of itself but a specific “special circumstances” tool designed to be applied in the most aggressive and worthy set of circumstances. Even after meeting these points a trade-out MUST STILL BE APPROVED BY THE MANUFACTURER.

1.      We will only trade-out one brand. (One brand may have more than one line within the brand).
2.      We will only trade-out like product. (Permanent for permanent, demi for demi, etc.)
3.      A trade-out will only be executed AFTER a new account package has been purchased. trade-out product is NEVER applied to the price of a new account package.
4.      Only new, unopened, unused tubes of professional hair color may be returned for credit. We do not trade out developer, bleach etc. Other than Shades EQ or Goldwell cans we only accept cream tube color without prior approval. We will not trade out Miss Clariol, Color Charm or other hair colors sold in beauty supplies.
5.      Trade-out will be ounce for ounce. (Not by price).
6.      The maximum number of ounces that can be traded out is a 45 day supply.
7.      Salon/stylist agrees to a minimum 1 year commitment to the brand with minimum monthly purchases of $200.
